December 22, 2009: Some Peach State Health Plan members must get a new Primary Care Physican
Are you in Peach State Health Plan and do you use the Grady Health System? Grady is no longer part of Peach State, so you need to find a new Primary Care Physician (PCP). We'll tell you all about finding a new PCP. You must stop using Grady services December 31, 2009, so read on about choosing a new PCP.
Just for members who use the Grady Health System: If you chose a new PCP in early December, you are fine. If you did not choose one, Peach State chose one for you near your home. If you do not want that PCP, call Peach State Member Services now at 1-866-229-2892 (TDD/TTY 1-800-659-7487). Peach State Health Plan can help you choose. You can also see a list of PCPs on the Peach State website at www.pshp.com.
Getting medical care at Grady now?
- If you have treatment or tests scheduled in the hospital or at a clinic, or
- If you are in the hospital now, or
- If you are more than three months pregnant and getting pregnancy care
Peach State Health Plan will work with you to make sure you get the services that have already been scheduled and approved by Grady. Peach State will contact you, so if you get mail or a phone call from Peach State, be sure to answer.
Emergency services: If you or your children need emergency services, you can still go to any emergency room, including Grady's.
Call Peach State Health Plan with questions: 1-866-229-2982 (TDD/TTY 1-800-659-7487). Peach State wants to make this change as smooth as possible for you.
