March 1, 2010: Keeping the doctor you like
If you go to a doctor now who knows you and your family--we want you to be able to keep going to that doctor to get your Medicaid health services.
We understand how important that relationship is, and we want you to be able to keep going to the same doctor if you want to.
When you join a health plan, you can choose any doctor in the plan to be your primary care provider (PCP). Ask your doctor if his office works with a Georgia Families plan. The office may work with one or more plans, and if that's so -- you can sign up for one of them.
If you need a doctor and you don't have one now, check out our blog about choosing doctors.
If you need more information about choosing a health plan or a doctor, call our call center. You can find out more about your health choices at our Facebook page or Twitter feed, too.
